Viktoria Jeanroy, ceramist

Viktoria’s passion for ceramics has accompanied her since she was 10 years old. The endless possibilities for design and experimentation especially excite her about working with clay. In her cozy ceramics studio in Aeugst am Albis, she makes each piece individually and lovingly from stoneware and porcelain. She chooses designs that fit both minimalist homes and bold, modern interiors.

Originally Viktoria comes from Hungary and lives in Switzerland since 2007. For the sake of ceramics, she has turned her back on the financial world. She acquired her craft in Switzerland, Italy, Hungary and Austria and brings this broad horizon to her daily work.

Would you like to reconnect with the present moment, return to the beauty of simplicity, and enjoy life at a slower pace while learning basic pottery skills? Then Viktoria’s atelier is the right place for you.

Contents of the ceramics workshop

In these workshops you will make an aperitif plate or various cups from stoneware. The tea or espresso tastes completely different from homemade cups!

In this ceramics workshop, Viktoria will introduce you to different types of clay, simple ceramic tools and two different hand-building techniques: thumb printing and the slab technique. You’ll learn how to decorate and texture your pieces, giving you the opportunity to make your set even more unique. During the workshop you will work with beige, black or gray stoneware.

Are you lacking inspiration? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Viktoria has different models and suggestions for you and provides you with all the materials. After the course, leave the pieces to Viktoria for completion. She takes care of the firing and glazing with a glaze of your choice. If it is not possible for you to pick them up at the workshop, they can also be sent by mail.
